Black Belt Training

WHAT IS BLACK BELT TRAINING?

At Edinburgh Tae Kwon Do, becoming a black belt takes true commitment and dedication. As such, it is important that we spend time training with other black belts across the country.

In the run-up to each black belt grading (usually April and October) TAGB Scotland hosts three black belt training sessions on separate weekends.

If you are grading, all three are compulsory. If not, then you only need to attend one as your official registration. This equals two per year. Keep up with our club noticeboard and take note of the dates!

Note - These sessions are not covered under your membership fee.

Do I need to attend these sessions if I am a black tag seeking to grade?

Absolutely. If you are wanting to attend any kind of black belt grading you are required to attend all three sessions.

This includes black tags (1st Kups). See these as a good opportunity to get yourself ready for your examination. You have the chance to train under our area representative - Grandmaster Paul Donnelly (9th Dan).
